Independent Lumens and Retrograde Infection

When irrigation and drainage share one channel, flushed fluid pushes debris back towards the wound. Two separate lumens remove that path: the inflow ends above the drainage eyes, so flushed material leaves through the outflow side only. This is the design point that separates a true irrigation catheter from a plain drain with a side port.

Anti-Clogging Tip and Radiopaque Line

The tip directs the flush across the drainage eyes, clearing clots before they seal the tube. A contrast line runs the full length so position can be checked on fluoroscopy or plain film without injecting dye into the lumen, and the transparent silicone wall shows staff whether the channel is running clear.

Configurations and Department Coverage

YL I to YL VI pair single or double lumen tubes with or without a guide needle, bulb and bag, all in 14F, 16F, 18F, 20F, 22F and 24F. The range is used in hepatobiliary, gastrointestinal, thyroid and breast, urology, orthopaedic and gynaecological drainage, where one ward may need a full set one day and a replacement tube the next.

Frequently Asked Questions

Answers to common questions about our products, customization and ordering.

When the wound needs flushing as well as drainage: infected cavities, thick exudate, or a drain that has already blocked once. A single-lumen catheter drains only, so it suits clean surgical sites where irrigation is not part of the plan.
All six configurations come in 14F, 16F, 18F, 20F, 22F and 24F. Bulbs are 100ml or 200ml, bags 500ml or 800ml, and the guide needle, connecting tube, bulb and bag are included or omitted according to the model chosen.
Yes, ethylene oxide sterilized and packed for single use. Open the pouch only when the procedure starts, check that the seal is intact, and discard the catheter after use rather than cleaning and resterilising it.
